Water treatment
Water Dimensions International (WDI) provides a turn-key service for any water-treatment plant, regardless of the source. With the Our experienced team is capable of designing, constructing, maintaining and refurbishing cutting-edge water treatment plants, whilst respecting our client’s requirements.

Community and Commercial Scale Potable Drinking Water Treatment
Water Dimensions International (WDI) provides a turn-key service for any water-treatment plant, regardless of the source. Our experienced team is capable of designing, constructing, maintaining and refurbishing innovative water treatment plants, whilst respecting our client’s requirements. At WDI we seek to produce drinking water that falls within the SANS 241-1:2015 standards, depending on the raw feed water quality.

The success of a drinking water treatment process design is based on six primary factors:
- The raw feed analysis and requirements.
- The concept treatment process design.
- The pre-treatment process of the water.
- The intermediate treatment process of the water.
- The final treatment process of the water.
-The method of operation and control.

In all six of the stages, we have been innovative in our approach, designing and utilising cost-effective, reliable equipment to occupy minimum space and operational input depending on the size and location.
A feature of our package drinking water plants is our containerized systems. These include a number of small drinking water plant designs, either skid mounted. trailered or containerized. The range of drinking water plants that we build includes flows from 1- 200m3/hour. These treatment plants can be erected in significantly shorter time periods, when compared to traditional water treatment plants. This suits the development requirements for small to medium size communities. In addition, the operation of our plants are simple and require little in the way of technical skills.

Modular Anaerobic and Aerobic Process Concept.
Our specialty in this field from a community and domestic approach is based on proven modular fixed film anaerobic and aerobic process design, which is a sequential suspended growth (activated sludge) process in which all major steps occur in the same tank in sequential order on continuous cycles.
Our unique designs on these units have proved to be particularly efficient in providing excellent final treated water qualities for discharge to be used as irrigation water or reused to flush the toilets water after further secondary treatment.
Application sizes range from 4 to 800 people based on smaller communities/populations with larger communities/populations catered for by running multiple modular plants in parallel, ideally suited for individual houses, small developments, filling stations, game lodges, guest houses, farms, mining and road/ construction camps.
The design features above or below ground installation options with unique modular tough polyethylene tank design that allows for easy transport and installation. Other features are quiet operation and low energy usage with low operating costs.

Modular Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) Process Concept.
Our specialty in this field from a commercial approach is limited to the “Sequential Batch Reactor" (SBR) process, which is a sequential suspended growth (activated sludge) process in which all major steps occur in the same tank in sequential order on continuous cycles.
Our unique designs on these units have proved to be particularly efficient in providing excellent final treated water qualities for discharge to be used as irrigation water or reused to flush the toilets water after further secondary treatment.
Semi-containerized package units are pre-constructed of non-corrosive materials, such as uPVC, HDPE, plastic, fiberglass, or pre-treated rubberized or coated steel. Units are installed aboveground on concrete platforms with proper protection against local climatic concerns.
All electric components are waterproofed and/or sheltered from the elements. If airlift pumps are used, large diameter pipes are provided to avoid clogging. Blowers, pumps, and other mechanical devices are designed for continuous heavy-duty use. Easy access to all moving parts provides for easy routine maintenance. An effective alarm system (not included as standard) can be installed to alert utilities management/entities of malfunctions.

Industrial Process & Effluent Water Treatment & Recycling.
The process of improving the quality of effluent from industrial plants is gradually gaining momentum in South Africa with the increasing application of laws to limit factory effluents.
Our specialty in this field is limited to effluents that will flocculate and can be either settled or floated. Our unique designs on these units have proved to be particularly efficient in providing excellent treated water qualities.
We offer full in-house design, fabrication, supply, installation, commissioning, service and repair capabilities. Consultation and support in conjunction with potable, wastewater treatment plants right up to municipal turnkey plants.
