Water Dimensions International

Water remediation & therapy
With our vast experience in the water industry in South Africa, Water Dimensions International (WDI) has witnessed our freshwater ecosystems become increasingly threatened by eutrophication. WDI addresses this challenge through a partnership with OASE professional, a German company offering scientifically developed in situ solutions for water, sediment, and aeration treatment. These solutions help bind nutrients, stabilise water quality, support aerobic decomposition, and reduce the need for costly dredging. Together, they provide a proactive and environmentally friendly approach to managing and preventing eutrophication.

Water treatment
OASE developed its product range sustainably to control algae, to facilitate nutrient binding and to control parasites. In addition, these products stabilise water values, increase available oxygen and reduce water turbidity.

Sediment treatment
Sediment build-up in bodies of water is a natural process. Eutrophication, however, speeds up this process dramatically through the incomplete breakdown of organic matter. In addition, this incomplete degradation results in fermentation, which releases foul-smelling and harmful by-products. OASE provides a costeffective alternative to traditional dredging, which simultaneously addresses the aforementioned challenges in a cost effective and environmentally friendly manner. Aeration
Free oxygen, also known as dissolved oxygen, is critical for the health of any body of water. This is particularly evident when this free oxygen is removed during eutrophication. In order to address this challenge, OASE provides mechanical aeration solutions. They are applied most impactfully in supplying oxygen to aerobic bacteria, which decompose organic material, helping to reduce sedimentation and fermentation from eutrophication.
