South Africa, like many developing countries across the world, has seen its freshwater ecosystems go from strained to overburdened in recent decades. Amongst the plethora of pollutants entering its waterways are two seemingly innocuous pollutants that are especially impactful, namely phosphates and nitrates. These two pollutants pose a significant challenge to any body of water, as they result in a process called eutrophication.

In short, eutrophication can be described as the process during which a body of water becomes overly enriched with phosphates and nitrates, which gives rise to the plentiful growth of plants and algae.

It is the constant endeavour of Water Dimensions International to find reliable, cost-effective and ecologically safe solutions for municipal and private bodies of water. In addition, we strive to make these solutions applicable both to functional and ecologically sensitive locations. We also seek to provide proactive, preventative solutions to the
